Abstract

By minimizing unsustainability that affects society, the environment, and natural resources, artificial intelligence (AI) and the internet of things (IoT) will contribute to a bright future for sustainable development. Further research is needed due to the fast-moving, transdisciplinary evolution of AI and IoT, the concept's relative novelty, and the paucity of literature on their contribution to the achievement of sustainable development goals. Our goal is to investigate the potential and risk of AI and IoT for achieving
sustainable development, with an emphasis on the labor market. We conducted a bibliometric analysis to determine how these technologies, particularly technical aspects and labor market effects, affect the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Results showed that the widespread adoption of AI and IoT poses serious dangers, but opportunities and potential advantages outweigh any conceivable drawbacks.
