Early Age Education And Child Labour In Pakistan

Abstract

The data was collected from three major districts of KP, Pakistan. This article has analyzed the factors of child labour in these districts. Research found that the birth order of the child has significant role with the decision of child’s schooling and its need as a labour. Study found that there is gender discrimination in the society and culture for schooling. Surprisingly it was found by the researchers that the female headed families were more tilted towards the education of children as compare to male headed families. During
research it was confirmed that the first academy of the child is the mother’s lap, if she is educated then it has a positive impact on the schooling of childas compare to the education of father. The factor wealth proved that it is associated with education but the size of family is associated with child labour. Urban area students were going to school in greater ratio as compare to rural areas.
