AN ANALYSIS OF STRATEGIC VISION AND PROGRAMMES OF NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2009 FOR IMPROVEMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN

Abstract

This is a conceptual theoretical and research paper in a sense that most of the part is document related and the last portion is research findings about the strategic vision and programmes announced in national Education Policy 2009. This policy was somewhat different in its format from previous policies as it emphasized on practical application and implementation of the policy. NEP 2009 decided to launch many programmes as reforms in education; it also mentioned the strategies to implement them. This study tried to analyse the vision and the programmes in the document and their implementation in real situation as well
