The knowledge, training, and preparation that students in more conventional university-level visual communication and graphic design programs get may not be enough for their eventual success in the intended creative professions. This study intends to address a gap in the existing literature by examining the use of mobile technology in the visual arts classroom via the lens of design pedagogy. In
order to better understand the role of design in visual communication, qualitative exploratory research was performed. Learn what this means for the future of the design profession and the designers, researchers, and practitioners who make it their livelihood. The ultimate goal of these studies is to promote aesthetically superior practices across the board that contribute to visual communication.
