Abstract

With the increasing reliance on technology and the growing threat landscape, ensuring the security of information systems has become paramount. Ethical hacking, also known as penetration testing or white-hat hacking, is a proactive approach to identify and address security vulnerabilities in systems. This research paper aims to explore the concept of ethical hacking as a method for testing security weaknesses. The paper provides an overview of ethical hacking, its methodology, and the benefits it offers in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities. Furthermore, it discusses the ethical considerations involved in conducting ethical hacking and emphasizes the importance of responsible and legal usage of this approach.
