Racial discrimination in American literature and its reflection in the Uzbek translation

Abstract

This article deals with the translators’ success and lacks while translating the stories andnovels by famous American writers. It describes the lives of black people in America in history and thewhite people’s attitude to them. The translations of the novels of American writers as John Steinbeck,Irwin Shaw and Mark Twain are taken as examples and how the racial discrimination is expessed in theUzbek language.Giving the exact meaning of the translation is a good job. But not every time translation can be verysuccessful. There are may be different reasons for this. Such problems are described in this article.
