Abstract

The herbal medicine have been used as healing properties. Microbial resistance to classical antibiotics and it is rapid progression have raised series concern in the treatment of infection disease. It shows the anti-microbial activity plant of common name, botanical name, medicinal application, biological compounds. It is reasonable to investigate the microbial survival and the antimicrobial potential via a variety of method. In the phytochemical review major group of phytochemicals are classified as Alkaloids, Phenolic and Polyphenol, Quinones, Flavones ,flavonoids and flavonols, Tannins. Screening methods have Agar diffusion method, Disk diffusion method, Agar cup method and Turbidimetric method. It also include Mechanism of antimicrobial activity. This information is intended to help the
researchers and field experts to select suitable method for testing the hygienic safety and anti-microbial properties.
