Human Rights In Constitution Of India

Abstract

As a 'member of the human family,' each person is entitled to a minimum set of rights against the State or other public authority, regardless of any other reason. "Human rights" is a term that has only been used recently, in the wake of post-World War II international charters and conventions, but the notion goes back to the ancient theory of "natural rights," based on natural law. Natural rights were the appropriate starting point for the development of the notion of "human rights." Natural rights were the first
expressions of human rights in law and morality.
