Abstract

Today, more and more people are connecting to the internet on a daily basis. Because of the tremendous growth of technology, the speed at which data can be sent through networks has broken records. The process of embedding different types of information in digital material in order to prevent it from being copied illegally is known as digital watermarking. In addition to its use in the protection of intellectual property, digital watermarking also has a number of other uses, such as finger printing and the identification of owners. There are many distinct varieties of digital watermarks, including those that are strong, delicate, visible, and invisible. The DWT and hybrid DWT-SVD methods, of which are relatively new approaches to the process of digital picture watermarking, will be compared and contrasted in this paper.
