Abstract

Tai Phake people entered Assam in the later era of the 18th century. For multitude of years, they lived in the vicinity of the people of Assam. The Assamese language had great influence in their language. The old history is its magnificent example. At present times, the number of people speaking Tai Phakelanguage is very limited. Hence, it is in the phase of extinction i.e. its existence is endangered.
