Abstract

The current study aims to cover listening skills in innovative ways in education using different technological tools and activities implemented by language teachers in the graduate classes of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Listening is a difficult task. Because English is the language of the academy in Pakistan and they are not native speakers, students from different levels of education face challenges during the successful listening process in the classroom, seminars, presentations, and so on. Listening is a complete skill and requires full concentration. To understand and decipher the message sent by the sender. The participants in this study were students from two different periods, the first and third BS English semesters. To assess them, we distributed questionnaires about their difficulties to see what problems they faced while learning a second language and how useful innovative technological methods are to overcome the problems in experiential listening. Based on our findings using the 5-point Likert scale
bipolar scaling method, we claim that listening in an innovative way can develop an effective listening process for both types of students. The research also includes audio-visual aids, multimedia, CD cassettes, etc. to enhance teaching content and general skills requires proper use of such technological tools. This study suggests that future researchers will develop listening skills and play a key role in learning. It also emphasizes the use of technology as it ages.
