The Role of Women Empowerment towards Inclusive Growth in Pakistan

Abstract

The present study intended to explore the role of women's empowerment towards inclusive growth in Pakistan. The relationship between inclusive growth and women empowerment has been analyzed for the period from 1981 to 2018. Women empowerment has been explained with seven dimensions of gender inclusion. The ordinary least square model has been used for econometric estimation. This study helps to identify those gender factors which may promote women's empowerment towards inclusive growth. This study concludes that when women have grander accession to the labor market with the condition of equality then the impact is positive. The study finds out that women empowerment positively affects inclusive growth in Pakistan. It is concluded that women empowerment should be promoted in Pakistan to achieve the best socio-economic results.
