Abstract

Healthcare is concerned with providing medical treatment to patients, whereas computer science is about computers and their sophisticated computing systems. These two professions could not be more dissimilar from one another. The application of computer science in the healthcare sector is the focus of the relatively new area of health informatics, which combines the two.
