Abstract

The environment includes the external physical, biological, and social systems that humans encounter. The environment as a whole is a complex system. Environmental education, either from or for the environment, has almost uniformly been associated with the three
techniques that have contributed to the current article. Learning about, in, and about the environment is referred to as environmental education. Environmental Education (EE), Environmental Study (ES), and Environmental Approach (EA) are frequently used in relation
to the environment and education. This article highlights about the perceptions and awareness of secondary school students about Environmental Education (EE) with special reference to Hooghly District, West Bengal.
