A Technology Acceptance Model for E-Learning during COVID-19: Empirical Insight from Pakistan

Abstract

Global pandemic of COVID-19 has seriously disrupted education sector of Pakistan. High contagion of the disease have confined students and teachers to their homes, where teaching sifted from physical/on-campus settings to online mode.However, students expressed their discontent for online education modes and resisted online learning. In this background, we studied behavior and attitude of students towards online education system during the pandemic and documented that Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) could be used to improve adoption of online education during uncertain times like COVID-19. We provide implications for developmentof a more inclusive online education system in Pakistan during these uncertain times.
