Analysis of Supervision Records from Selected Schools in Antalya and Gaziantep Provinces (1940-1954)

Historical experiences are necessary in order to understand and to interpret our current experiences. This study is designed as a qualitative research based on the analysis of historical documents. The data included the documents acquired from the Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Education. These documents were analysed and coded according to their contents. The documents indicate that there were changes in both inspection and the Ministry of National Education. When the documents sent from and received by the Ministry, it can be observed that bureaucracy had increased and took longer in time. When the issues related to education-instruction process were examined, it is clearly seen that those issues are still valid.
