Abstract

This research article explores the dynamics of women empowerment and entrepreneurship through a case study of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Assam, India. The study investigates the role of SHGs in enhancing economic independence, social empowerment, and leadership skills among women. It analyzes the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in accessing resources, marketing their products, and overcoming societal barriers. The article also examines the impact of SHGs on the overall socio-economic development of women in Assam.
