Abstract

Climate change vulnerability assessments are essential for understanding the potential impacts of climate change on various sectors and regions. This review examines the methods and applications of vulnerability assessments, highlighting key concepts, theoretical frameworks, and methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches. The review also explores applications in agriculture, water resources, coastal zones, human health, and ecosystems. Challenges such as data quality, methodological complexities, and socio-economic factors are discussed. Future directions emphasize improving data collection, enhancing methods, integrating assessments into policy-making, and strengthening community engagement to better inform adaptation strategies.
