STUDENT’S SKILLS OF USAGE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY TOOLS

Abstract

The worldwide demand for the replacement of conventional classroom techniques with technologically-based teaching and learning resources can be met with the help of educators who have embraced the integration of information, communication, and technology (ICT). Over the past few years, ICT has become a standard tool in every field, and its influence in education has grown exponentially. It is hoped that this study will provide educators and curriculum researchers with a thorough understanding of whether or not ICT tools, like the tablet PC, are important or useful in the teaching and learning process in Mauritian schools, and whether or not they can contribute to the promotion of skills in the classroom. Results show that there are positive outcomes for students when teachers employ ICT. Primary data for this study came from a standardized questionnaire, while secondary data came from government documents, news articles, reports, a survey of the relevant literature, etc. The effects of students' increased use of digital tools for
education are the focus of this research.
