Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the 4 +4 +4 education system in accordance with the opinions of classroom teachers. The study was carried out pursuant to the pattern of phenomenological method that is one of the qualitative research methods. Among the purposeful sampling methods, the criterion sampling method was used in the study. The study group of this study is composed of 6 classroom teachers working in the Y district of the X province of Central Anatolia Region. In the interpretation process of the interview data, descriptive analysis, content analysis and constant comparison technique were used. According to the research findings while participants advocate the 12-year compulsory education system, they criticize lack of infrastructure in schools, school starting age, teachers' branch change and lack of in-service training.
